What's the issue with Randall? I mean owner. Stop being so pedantic. Hardly pedantic when you single out the wrong person when trying to put together a coherent argument.

What about a loan offer for Lansbury? Whilst I agree he is not much cop he is much better than what we have in Yates and Colback

To be honest why don’t we just fuck them both off and play with 9 men. At least the ball will get to go forward without them in the way. Have to say I can’t recall a time I gave less of a shit about whether we do any transfer business than now. It just feels so bloody pointless.

Forest only sign over the hill pension seeking one last big pay day players and its this kind of club culture that doesn't change and is one of the main reasons forest are where they are and why they have never or never look like succeeding or progressing to any level above what they are now, dropping down another level is a realistic possibility.
20 years of turgid dire crap and looking like continuing

Nottingham Forest have signed young midfielder Marcelo Saraiva, with the teenager set to link up with the Reds’ Under-23s.
The 18-year-old has made the move to the City Ground from Brazilian outfit Sport Club Internacional and has penned a one-and-a-half-year deal, until June 2022.
Described as a defensive midfielder..........
Which is when I stopped reading the article 🙄

We keep signing these 18 years olds for our U23 team
Man Utd just paid 20 million quid for Amad Diallo who is 18 - they are either fucking good enough or not

Has football been improved at all by U23 squads rather than reserve teams?
How many players have come through it for forest on the past 5 years? I may be wrong but it feels like all our home grown players have come straight from the U18 team rather than fuck about in the U23 team
I remember Warnock saying he didn't rate his U23 team, too lightweight as they didn't play against fully grown men. Maybe he has a point

Maybe he has a point What normally happens is youth players with potential play at a higher age group. So Nottingham Forest youth academy has a tendency to play 15 to 18 year old players in the under 23 development squad, before migrating to the senior team. Most teams would rather loan out promising stars to other professional clubs so that the player obtains relevant match experience, rather than a practice environment to see how they react and develop under stress. Of course many players develop at a different rate, thus some athletes or sportsmen suddenly improve or stagnate when hitting 20 or over. This carp about lightweight though does piss me off, as a capable, skilled player if they know their trade should be able to compensate against a heavier or larger build player. A sly dig, stud, or carefully positioned knee or foot can put a player in their place.

How many 15 year olds are in the squad atm? www.transfermarkt.co.uk/nottingham-forest-u21/kader/verein/38588Out of these 20 odd players we'll be lucky if one breaks through

Knockhart’s deal extended until the end of the season which is not bad business I guess. Notmally we would have given him a 3 year deal
For me - when he came on that first game I thought here we fucking go but other than that he was ok. Definately seemed to be trying harder lately when his loan was coming to an end and wanted a deal.
No fucking way would I be signing him in the summer regardless of what he does between now and then on 30k a week for 3 years - much better youngsters out there with fresher legs for half of that dough

Whilst this doesn't automatically mean the Under-23 would have players of that age category usually teams such as Nottingham Forest promote their U-18 players to improve and speed up their development.

He's one of the few players that can create us a goal.👍
