Another day I just couldn't be bothered paying any attention to the game. Realised it was 0-0 but already knew before I read anything about the game that we were gash, Grabban was shit and Figs had a nightmare. As predictable as night follows day.

Doesn't matter who we would want as the new manager, Marinakis is going to appoint some mediocre shit to replace Houghton when he is eventually sacked. Sacking Houghton papers over the cracks, but won't solve the problem.

Who would you replace him with? Paul Cook. Who we should have gone for before Hughton Thats who I wanted in the summer. I was happy with Hughton to be fair but did have doubts about his style of football. I'm still backing Hughton now tbh, but my question, is how can we guarantee it would be Cook and not done Greek nobody coming in? Isn't it a little odd how he hadn't been picked up by anyone else? A few similar sized teams have sacked their manager already and we've seen the same shit merry go round managers - Pulis and Mccarthy. What if we ended up with Garry Monk?

If we get rid the problem is we are more than likely to end up with another unproven in English football foreign manager named Fakadakis or another ageing relic, who will be under the bubbles thumb no doubt. The problem at this club not the manager how many times do we have to sack and then lay the blame at the new poor sod in charge of this mess. Beware what you wish for. On the other hand maybe getting rid of Hughton at this stage will just as likely end in relegation and the big man selling up. We can then pray for a decent owner to guide this club in the right direction. I’m not sure which is the worse of two evils.

The whole club is in a mess ok the bills get paid now but we are no further forward are we on the pitch where is counts the only plus is our young lads we have to sell The recruitment is our biggest problem why oh why so many players we must be only just out of ffp Hughton has a proven record but shown us nothing to prove this Infact we are worse Fans putting give him a window his second season will get us up cant see it myself with the negative football we play If we do go down cant see us coming back up to much wrong with our club and its a shame as we have great club just a load of shit running it

Marinakis is fractionally better than Fawaz, but still miles away from the owner we need. I'm beginning to think that a season in League One would be worth it if it meant the Bubble selling up and fucking off back to Greece. There is no structure at the club under Marinakis. 70 players brought in in 7 transfer windows? The club is a shambles under this regime.

The problem is that there is no certainty it will be a single season in League One, or that Marinakis will go. It didn't work out that way under asset stripper Doughty... three shit seasons and Doughty still continued as chairman.

I’m unsure of what a drop to league one will do to us. My mind thinks back to last time and that worries me. On the plus side it would be the straw that breaks the camels back. It will force the wholesale shipping out of the dross. Players like Grabban will fuck off, somehow deciding that they’re big club players and pretending they didn’t play their own part in consigning the club to relegation. Added to which , the owner is likely to conclude the club is of no use to his plans. It then just becomes a question of what he does. Does he just let it rot until it folds and play silly buggers with the accounts and use it as some sort of pawn in his tax avoidance game? Or does he try to sell it.
If he sells it, I’m beginning to think whoever buys us next will be critical. We’ve got just enough recent history to be attractive to a buyer with some ambition who if they know what they’re doing could turn around. That history however is growing dimmer each year and being overtaken by the story of a batshit club, with batshit owners and a place where people come to take the piss for the money they take home. We’re getting closer each year to a club that will only be of interest to a bargain basement consortium. Once we get there I’m not sure we’d ever get back. I think way football is going, there’s a narrow window for the club and it will eventually close.
Bloody hell I’ve just depressed myself.
