Lamouchi can't make our players score sitters from inside the six yard box Savo. We've missed two a game for the last three or four games.
Lamouchi can't force Sow to be fit.
The fact is that as a squad we're probably batting above our station so there will be times when we drop points that we think we should get. Mind, every team drops points that they think they should get, that's football. It makes my head hurt when people go on the attack every time we don't get three points.
He can't score the sitters no, but he can alter the shape and system we play at home to make us more threatening. He doesn't need to play Watson AND Yates at home vs Charlton or QPR for example. I get it away from home as that's a different kettle of fish. He also seems to have had a say in the signing of Diakhaby who at the moment is rivalling Dumitriu as our worst signing this decade which takes some doing.
Our home games are crying out for Carvalho IMO. Just someone who can do something a bit different. He clearly doesn't rate him though.
Lamouchi has us playing in a way that is effective without being pretty away from home. Problem is when we're at home we don't know what to do when the onus is on us to take the game to them.

He's limited by his options Savo. I think Yates is a bit shit but then if Yates doesn't play, which other player who's a bit shit does he bring in? Diakhaby was in yesterday, also a bit shit.
Carvalho? I like him but he needs to learn from Silva. Both looked very similar when Silva arrived, but look at Silva's work rate now and look at Carvalho. Can you afford to replace Sow with Carvalho? Considering Sow is super effective off the ball and Carv is a passenger when he doesn't have the ball? Each time we've played Silva and Carvalho in the same team everyone has complained that it hasn't worked. If you don't play Carvalho and Silva then you're stuck with Yates or Diakhaby.
We don't need to play two defensive midfielders at home? Try getting a win without Watson and Sow in the team. Just have a look at the results when Sow hasn't played.
In short, we just haven't got the players to do better than what we are. As my mate said after Charlton, we've got a great first 12 or 13 players, after that we're a bit shit. We've basically got a first team which could get promotion, and a 2nd 11 that would get you relegated.
You complain after most games, win lose or draw, without understanding how limited we are.

That's because of the way SL has us playing, Chaz. If we didn't sit back and allow the opposition onto us, then we wouldn't need both Watson and Sow in the team. ER touches on this subject all the time. We don't need to start with 7 defensive players at home. Putting pressure on the opposition defence eases the pressure on our defence. We do it the other way round, Chaz. My biggest concern is that SL just doesn't seem to learn.......and that is probably why hasn't been offered a new contract.
Savo is right, our set up is brilliant away from home, but at home it sucks, and it may well cost us come the end of the season.

It's the nature of the modern football fan to think that just attacking will get better results, that because their team is obviously the greatest ever they should win every week and the teams against them don't try, that every time they don't get a result it's because the manager doesn't know as much as they do. It's beyond hilarious.
I'm going to assume that anyone knocking our manager right now has got brain damage.
Let's look at it a different way. Does anyone think we've got a better squad than Leeds, West Brom, Brentford or Fulhum?
Or can we accept that we're doing very well to be up there mixing it with them?
Chaz, I've said many times that I find it difficult to criticise SL due to where he has us in the league, but that doesn't mean that he's faultless, and that we could be doing slightly better than we actually are.
The league is crazier this season than it's ever been, and maybe in another season we'd just be a mid table side, who knows? But what I do know is that 20 goals in 17 home games isn't impressive, and a win ratio of less than 50% at home isn't impressive.
No, we don't have a better squad than Leeds, West Brom, Brentford, & Fulhum, that's why we are behind them in the league, but I'd wager we have a better squad than Preston, who are level on points with us.
I thought Silva was our best player first half playing from that deeper position, it just didn't make sense to bring on Yates. Why not bring Carvalho at that stage and give him enough time to get into the game? He actually looked up for it when he came on but just didn't get long enough.
