This might sound counter intuitive but as Forest fans we should absolutely NOT want Derby to get relegated. If we're honest the atmosphere at the Derby matches is about the only "big occasion" us Forest fans have in a typical season. Next season could be bland indeed without them.
I see what your saying but I’m more of a mindset of “fuck ‘em”. Let them chew on some shit for a while. After all the games they’ve been playing over the last few seasons to give it the big ‘un, they need a little time in the back waters to test that out.
As much as I like to get fired up about the atmosphere I think we’ve got bigger fish to fry.
Sky Sports News has been told that the current owner, Mel Morris, will again honour the £1.2m total wage bill for the players this month, but he is reluctant to continue to do so in future months.
If you can stomach the stupidity, it’s quite funny on the Derby forums. They’re all trying to work out what’s going off and who knows what. Poor old Natalie Jackson is getting as much stick from them for her reporting as she did from us. None of them can decide if they want this new prospective owner or if he’s as rich as Fawaz.
Based on the 2 performances today that I watched if I had to bet on one team it would be derby, they looked better than sheff wed today. Fingers crossed Rotherham win mid week too. Can Cohen have a word in the ears of the Luton lot?
So if Rotherham win tonight they jump above derby but leave sheff wed needing a win against derby and a big goal difference to claw back on the final day.
Maybe the best scenario would be a Rotherham draw tonight so that both Rotherham and sheff wed are fighting desperately to scramble past each other and derby on the final day..
Much prefer a Rotherham win tonight to drop Derby into the drop zone and increase the pressure on them going into the Wednesday match. Only problem is, Rotherham are away to Cardiff in their last game, and I cannot see them picking up anything there.
