That’s a sad state of affairs. Football has had a proper collapse with arseholes looking to make a few quid.
It’s one thing for us to want to see them get hammered but not like this.
Hopefully someone will pick them up - Like Fawaz’s clown brother.

I think it was Collymore who called it months ago on Twitter that Derby could be the next Bury. Obviously he got a load of abuse for it.
Very worrying times for them. I'm not convinced they will survive either.

The cheek of them blaming covid, when they've spent years cooking the books and spending big money on trash
21 points deduction on the cards 😁 well at least that's one of the relegation spots gone

Good. At least we'll still have the local derby next season. I wonder who will take the third relegation spot.

Ideally Coventry or Middlesbrough will join us to add to the growing late 90s/early 2000s Premier League feel to League one - Forest, Derby, Bolton, Wimbledon, Portsmouth, Sheff Wed, Charlton, Ipswich. Quite nostalgic. I'm almost looking forward to it.....

I'm not sure how Derby have managed to screw up their finances so badly while remaining so average. Most clubs that end up in a mess at least have several good years living beyond their means above their natural level eg Wigan, Bolton, Portsmouth. I don't ever remember looking at Derby's squad and thinking 'How have they managed to afford all them' or expecting them to achieve anything more than possibly scrape into the play offs.
Seems like all the risk with none of the benefit, the equivalent of getting 10 years inside for a bank robbery in which you stole £30.

Forget about admin, there is serious talk about Derby being liquidated
A new owner would need 60m to clear the debts, to buy a club which doesnt own their ground, which will be in league one and where all the saleable assets will be gone in a firesale... You would need more money than sense.

You would need more money than sense. The ground issue could be a real problem for them. I think buyers of other clubs have needed the ground as part of the smoke and mirrors of buying a football club. I’m presuming a buyer will say to Morris, there’s no viable club sale without a ground and if the club is liquidated, he owns a a total white elephant. A ground with no club to go with it.

Derby fans were singing Billy Sharp is a sex offender and lots of other abuse on Saturday and then he scores a 90th minute winner, and declares he can't stand them in the after match interview.

They got another win tonight - they would have been 11th without the points deduction and considering they have had to get players on a free you have to say Rooney has done well

According to media. Derby administrators now have to prove they have £13.5 million required to get to the end of the season.
Looks like any buyer is going to have to piss a lot of money up the wall just to own the club and have little to show for it.
