But still appealing the 12pt deduction. Derbyshire live say they are dropping the appeal.

Another 9 points taken off them so down to -3
That has got to sting especially after they were so full of Mad Mel’s scheming when he was doing it

They were probably down anyway so it would've been good if they'd delayed the 2nd deduction until next season...

I didn’t realise just how bad things were there - if they don’t find some mug to buy the team (Mel owns the stadium) they could go bust
Players walking away as they can’t even give them a contract to the summer
I know there is a big rivalry but I do feel sorry for their fans

A massive shame they are in this state. Looks like Jagielka is joining Stoke as Derby cannot pay him. I'd have thought he would've done the right thing and play for free.

So, in less than a week they have gone from announcing a buyer for the club, to having to sell any player that is worth a fee. They may even be struggling to field a team by the time they play us next Saturday. They are royally fucked.
I don't like the word "Buyer" for the club. The club is worth nothing. The debts far outweigh any value put on the club. The stadium and training ground is owned by Mad Mel, so in effect there is nothing to buy. They are just looking for someone to take over the club, and it's massive debts, and then be held to ransom by whatever rent Mad Mel decides to charge for the facilities. You'd think that after fucking the club up to the point of going out of business that Mel Morris would do the decent thing and offer the stadium and training ground for a massively reduced fee. That would be the only way a prospective "buyer" would see any value in taking over the club.
We've been through some shit, especially under Fawaz, but we've never been put through the ringer like Derby are at the moment. I'd have no objection if they were relegated, and relegated again, ( a possible 15 point deduction already being discussed for next season), but I would hate them to go out of business. They are our biggest rivals, and while it's fun to take the piss of of their current demise, we'd miss the rivalry if it wasn't there.

Cunts won again today and off the bottom - if they stay up it will be a fucking miracle. They would only be a couple of points behind us without that deduction
I have never been a fan of that dirty bastard Rooney but quite how he has managed to get these performances out of the team deserves praise.
Hopefully a few players will leave this week 😂
I don’t want them to go bust but deffo want them to go down

Reports that if Derby can't prove that they can find the club till the end of the season by 1st of February then their fixtures will be removed and they will be ejected from the league...
Imagine if forest were in this state, don't wish it on anyone, I hope they claw themselves back up the league and get relegated on goal difference.

SSN report that the EFL have said that Derby are projected to run out of money by February 1st and have set a deadline of Feb 1st to prove they have funds to fulfill season. If that's the case then they will be forced into liquidation.
If the dispute between Boro/ Wycombe and derby comes out as derby are liable then that will be that for them. But it might not even get to court in time for that to happen. Apparently the EFL have provided adjudicator to try and solve it out of court but none of the club's seem to want to play ball.

Hats off to them if they manage it. Part of me wants to see their demise but part of me doesn't. Relegation would be fine for me but to be honest if they stay in business past 1st Feb I actually think they can survive!

The EFL have given Derby an extra 4 weeks to provide proof of funding for the season. This will take them to 1st March, Not much of the season left after that. I'm sure they could find a couple of hundred quid to take them to May.

You've got to give it to derby but on 2 ocassions that equaliser should have been disallowed. Firstly the header was offside then if that's not a high boot then I don't know what is. Pretty sure we have had the same kind of goal disallowed in the past.
