6500 slaves died building the stadiums for the world cup. Black lives dont matter.

Since it's being held in November will the Premier League be suspended until completion of the tournament ?. If not there will be many clubs missing some of their best players ..

Yes, of course. A lot of teams wouldn''t even have eleven senior players otherwise. Man City would just be Zinchenko and a bunch of kids...
What's a bit weird is we miss six weeks in the middle yet the league only starts one week earlier. I assume we're making up the rest of the time by cutting some International breaks so that's one positive of the winter World Cup at least.

Is this the most representation Forest will have had at a world cup?
A few to be confirmed but I think it'll be 10 players (unless I've missed anyone)
Hennessey, Williams and Johnson for Wales Freuler - Switzerland Kouyate - Senegal Aguilera - Costa Rica Horvath - USA Drager - Tunisia Layrea - Canada Ui-Jo - Korea

Out of interest are we expecting the above to get regular playing time this World Cup or are of a lot them going to watch from the subs bench?
Think Koutatye, Williams, Johnson and Freuler get selected, if I'm honest not really heard of the others. Hoping to hear their names more over the next month!

Drager is still a Forest player?! I assumed he'd moved on.
The three Welsh and Freuler will play. I think Drager starts, I think Ui-Jo starts, Layrea maybe at left back. Not sure about Kouyate, I think the two gays start in midfield so he fights it out with Mendy for the other spot. Aguilera and Horvath no chance.

Drager is an odd one, I don't think he's played a game for us, I'm dubious whether he's ever been to Nottingham... but following him makes the world cup slightly more interesting.
Two gays in the senegal team? They'd better keep that quiet in Qatar

It's interesting how the sanctimonious pricks who took the knee in protest to discrimination seem ok with Qatar's stance on gay rights, human rights, slave labour etc.

Where's the uproar now because the two faced money grabbing wankers are taking the knee and Qatari coin? I much preferred it when cricketers didn't hide the fact that apartheid didn't bother them one bit. These cunts nowadays make me sick.

England are all about meaningless gestures - the fact that Kane will not wear a rainbow armband because of the threat of a yellow card shows that.
He was talking it up only a few days about how important it was, but not important enough for a yellow card? Feels pretty spineless if that is what he truly believed.
Tbh the players should just get on with it. They played in Russia four years ago and didn't say a peep about Crimea. Unless someone has the courage to actually boycott the event then who is taking notice.

Had to laugh at the commentator in Wales - Iran today referring to Karim Ansarifard one more than occasion as a former Forest player. By the tone of his voice you'd have thought Ansarifard had been with us for five seasons and made hundreds of appearances. Quite frankly I had to look up who he was, forward who played 12 games for us in 2018-19, scoring twice. In the summer of 2019 he moved to Al-Sailiya in Qatar and is currently at Omonia Nicosia in Cyprus.
He spent 7 years in Iran and 5 in Greece but 12 games for us and the first point of reference is "former Forest player"

What was the score with the England players taking the knee earlier?
I remember when all this covid shit kicked off, and I wasn't paying any attention to it. I was over my mates house who's a Cardiff City season ticket holder and it was Cardiff v Forest in the FA Cup. Forest won 0-1. Forest didn't take the knee, and Lyle Taylor was outspoken about it.
I find it interesting that George Floyd, the man they're taking the knee for, was the only person of 'note' that died with covid, that wasn't put down as a covid death. Strange that.
I switched off from football during all that nonsense, so was surprised not only to see Forest doing it again when I switched back on, but England still, too?

I'm surprised it's as many as 12, I'd have guessed 4 or 5. Not the most anonymous player we had around that time though. You could put together a decent 'forgotten XI' from around that season. I might have a go later if I can be bothered. Right, I found all the coverage about Kane's armband a bit tiresome. Firstly it's not really a 'protest' if you only do it if you have permission. Secondly it seems a bit rich dictating to other countries when we've had gay marriage for how long? five years? and I can remember all that clause 28 business from the 90s so let's not pretend the UK has always been some broadminded sexual utopia. It must be like getting a lecture on why eating meat is so bad from someone who's been a vegetarian for three days. Also draws attention to the fact there was so little protest to the awarding of the World Cup to Qatar in the first place. That's the biggest scandal surely? It was obviously corrupt, not to mention totally impractical, yet seemed to be largely just be accepted. It's the equivalent of the Ballon d'Or winner being announced and Mbappe, Haaland and the rest are ignored while the winner is declared some kid who plays for his school team. All the public are thinking 'what the hell's going on?' but everyone in football just applauds as he goes up to collect his trophy (or whatever it is). Later on it's revealed he's the son of one the guys on the judging panel but no more is made of it. Eight years later Harry Kane attends the awards wearing a special tie to highlight bullying in schools. Anyway, alright so for. I enjoyed Argentina and Germany losing

Porridge did well in the games he's started, also. Maybe they should both be given starts and drop the taking a knee bollocks?
