Away at Preston North end on Tuesday night. We should have had a decent enough rest and been able to prepare properly for this one. Not one of our most successful hunting grounds over the past years but with Cooper hopefully that will be different.
1-2 win to the tricky trees.

Distribution from the keeper is not as good but otherwise done ok. Some lazy passes costing us. Started so well but Preston had the majority of the play after 20mins.

Unfortunately when we're pressed we do find it difficult. They've done their homework.
Can't see them being able to keep that level of press up for the full game though. Hopefully keep it tight and push on in the last 15 maybe with Zinc coming on.
They're not a bad side to be fair.

Didn't deserve to win last night but can't believe no one was in the 6 yard box to tap in Spence's pull back. We should know by now that he is going to hit the by line, and yes I know he didn't really don't at any other point in the game but Jonno, worrall and surridge all sat back. I'm surprised actually how much of the goal Spence had to aim at, the angle wasn't as tight as it looked from the away end, he could possibly have smashed it across goal to the far corner. But those can be the differences between promotion/ play offs and not it would have been a smash and grab if we won it at the death as I don't think we had a shot in the second half and the only shot on target of note that I can recall from the game was garners where he hot it straight at keeper and either side would have been good enough.
Geoff eltringham is one of the shittest refs in the league and he has been for a long time, I didn't realise it was him until kick off but as soon as I realised it was him I knew there would be a shit show of decisions imminent.
