The idea of just abandoning the season is crazy. Surely we could, and should, finish this season however long we have to wait. Obviously the Euros are finished so that gives us another six weeks or so to move into but even if we end up months behind we can deal with that with next season's schedule. For example, just losing the Nations League and all those International breaks would make room for another 12 domestic games....
Certainly makes sense from a sporting point of view. I don't really trust them to make a good decision though and wouldn't be surprised if the season is written off but ideally we finish this one whenever it's safe to get going again and next season can be reduced accordingly. Would be great to have a season with all the International breaks ditched and the European competitions as straight knock out.
One positive is I am getting some decent payouts on Football Index. With no actual football some idiot can get good media mentions simply for doing something stupid - Jack Grealish earned me £50 for his party incident. Hopefully there'll be more details about the car crash to come and ideally a court appearance
To be fair, we could still finish this season, and start next season a few weeks late. Just cancel worthless International breaks, cancel next season's FA Cup and League Cup. That will create enough time to finish this season, and go straight into next season. All of that of course is in the presumption that we will be playing again in July/August.

I think at this stage nothing is going to get played. I think at whatever point in the future when everything resumes we'll either start a new season or pick up this one but it won't be for some time. I can't see any football cracking on by August, cause if we do all get together again this thing will kick off again.
I know the easy option is to void the season but that just kicks all the problems down the road for a few months at best.
There will be legal challenges, clubs going to the wall and no solution to play next season. Realistically fans aren't going to be going to grounds until 2021 at the earliest.
I would like to see some attempt at restarting this season. There's of course going to be some risk with playing sport but there's going to be risk until everyone is vaccinated. There is always risk with sport anyway, it's just about trying to mitigate it.
My prediction - EFL will be scrapped. I can see the Premier league restarting but one positive test will spark fear and the whole thing will be voided too. You see some quotes from players like Aguero and its obvious they don't have the stomach for it.
Well, we're getting ready to go then. I suppose it would be sort of appropriate if Forest were to be promoted at the end of this most shambolic of seasons.
I don't really understand why they're bothering with play offs in the lower leagues. It seems a lot harsher to be relegated with a quarter of a season still left than it does to miss out on a play off place. In fact, why not just relegate Southend and Bolton as they're down already and have an extra team in League One next year? Would be fairer all round.....
