Still hasn't sunk in. Lovely to see the sheep so salty.
Marinakis appreciates this will take a bit investment to become competitive in the Prem and he's prepared to spend. Going to be interesting.

Has he said anywhere exactly what the budget is? Now obviously the prize money from promotion is going to be a big boost and Mr Marinakis is a very wealthy and successful man by the standards of ordinary people, but going by figures on wikipedia he'll be the second poorest club owner in the Premier League, such is the crazy World we've been promoted to. Only Bournemouth have less well off owners.
It begs the question, is the available budget going to be enough to let Cooper buy the quality of players needed to stay up?

It is a good question. I think that with Dane Murphy working with Cooper we might be looking to bring in some lesser known gems, for better value, and no doubt some more class loan signings. The best young players will want to come to the club to work with Cooper (the fucking legend that he is). The most important thing is that they are supported to do their job by the owner and I think he knows that now. He has got the dream team working at Forest now, I bet he can't believe his luck. I can't believe it either. Wembley was just immense. The feeling of euphoria and the joy on everyone's faces. We will never forget it. I don't see how it can get any better than that. Wish I could re-live it again tomorrow.

Has an owner ever stated what the transfer budget is? Would seem like suicide to tip off selling clubs. I'm guessing a lot of his wealth my not be officially recorded anyway

Not really sure how I got home from Wembley, I was pretty smashed, but what an awesome day. Huddersfield had a bit of possession but it was clear there was only one Premier league side on show.
Just watched the highlights on TV for the first time. I was under the impression both penalties were "stonewall" but I can barely see any contact by Colback, and the second one is a clumsy coming together. I would have been aggrieved if either were given.
Not that I really give a shit now 😁
