Not my money but does anyone else think we’ve overpaid for Niakhate given he’s turned 26 and wasn’t exactly playing for a top class club? I’m not saying he isn’t decent, I trust that the management scout players they know will be an asset to the team, but I just wonder if we’ve overpaid? He sounded top class in Germany, I think €10m upfront with add ons is decent, especially with a few other clubs after him Not sure about 17m for Neco Williams or €10m for Richards. I know full backs are really important in our system but seems a bit steep We can't pay 10m+ for all our players surely, we probably still need 5/6. I expect we'll look at a few loans too if possible Already got one loanee, Henderson, so we can only have one more.

Lovely Sunday morning, even better waking up to a new signing - Omar Richards CONFIRMED 4 year deal, supposedly £7.65m, cracking signing.

Luke Thomas (leicester) and Mitchell at Palace are the only real contenders I think. I doubt there's time for anyone to make the squad for the World Cup though as Southgate seems desperate to avoid playing any other left backs. Even if Chilwell and Shaw are injured I'd expect him to play Trippier or James there.
Anyone know much about Richards? I remember him being at Reading but beyond seeing his name regularly in their line up I can't say I really noticed him.

Went to Burton the other night, now sure who else did but for those that didn't, here's my thoughts on the new guys that played:
Henderson - Great distribution and his handling is superb. Came for a couple of high ones with no problems at all. Unlike Samba when your heart was in your mouth sometimes (not slagging Samba, he's a ledge)
Niakhate - Fucking animal, doesn't have an ounce of fat on him and he's rapid. Great distribution and I can see him being brilliant for us this season next to McKenna and Worrall (in my opinion). He was let down by Ioannou who was utter dog shit
Biancone - Pleasantly surprised with this guy. He lookked bloody good actually and I know it was only Burton but he likes to attack and is good defending as well. He's not here to make up the numbers, I can guarantee you that. This guy wants to play for sure.
Awoniyi - I don't think he's fit. He is a unit and very quick and was also let down by Ioannou on more than one occasion. I think he might need a bit of time to settle, the Burton CB had him in his pocket at times. As I say, I don't think he's fit yet.
A quick mention for these guys too:
Colback - Absolutely outstanding, ran the first half on his own. I know it's only Burton but not everyone stood out. JC did though
Mighten - Looks like he's lost a bit of weight and looks up for it. He's a handful and made a difference when he came on
Ojeda - Also looked good. Tricky as fuck but not sure how he'll get on if he came on in the prem
Mbe Soh - He's got bigger. Another unit and he's quick as well. I think he could really do well for us if he can learn under Cooper
Fin Back - I think he's also another young lad who might come good as well. He played really well when he came on and has also got bigger and stronger. I bumped into his dad by mistake and he's a unit as well.
Lyle Taylor - Absolutely shite. Why the fuck he's still here must be because no other fucker wants him. Useless apart from the comedy value

John Percy #nffc have today agreed a double deal with #htafc to sign midfielder Lewis O’Brien and left-back Harry Toffolo. Fee for both players around the £10m mark before add-ons etc. O’Brien and Toffolo due for medicals on Monday

It’s back on again. Agreement reached with Toffolo. Mr Marinakis threaten to blow up their local bakery unless they signed ha? In all seriousness I hope toffolo saw the light, I assume we moved to meet him half way in the deal but I hope he hasn't pulled the wool over us with his demands, I'm sure he hasn't. 2 decent signings.

Heard he has the same agent as Neco Williams so probably found there was a large pay gap and his agent tried to push up the wages. From Forests perspective it makes sense to try meet him half way as we have almost two players for the price of 1.
So far so good with business. A hell of a lot better as a squad regardless of whether we stay up or go down next season we have something to build from.
Lingard being targeted by us apparently as he’s a freebie despite high wages.

Not sure about lingard, not sure he would be bothered to play for us, finance wise I guess we could offset his wages by giving him a big signing on fee... Would much rather someone like Gibbs white though but think the chance of that could be getting further away.
