Just too much dross - he won’t change Cook, Kouyate and Lingard might as well not be out there, Williams punching too far forward and Lodi getting torn to pieces. I like McKenna but he is too slow for this league
Never thought we would stay up. The gulf between where we were when we got promoted and survival was too big. I hope the club keep with Cooper, as I think he is the best chance of getting us back up next season.
Wouldn't mind but we aren't even playing any football. Just full backs and centre backs lumping it long to an isolated Dennis. The only bit of football we played was when we played through the lines when Gibbs white played in awoniyi and he hit the post
Why do we insist on whipping these balls into the box when we have 1 or 2 players in there that aren't of any stature? Why don't we focus on getting in and around the box and getting some shots away on target?
Perspective needed. We were crap in the first half, decent in the second. Had our chances. Some decent performances.
Back 3 need sorting out, Cook + McKenna just isnt going to cut it in this league. The sooner we bed in Boly and Bade the better.. even Biancone has to be worth a shot.
Have to view the first half of the season as training matches. Stick behind Cooper. Never mind the pundits and the tabs. No coach could do any better with an entirely new team... it is not a problem with tactics or man management.
Bad enough losing, but it is the way and the amount of goals we are conceding that is the biggest worry. Defence were run ragged by a 35 year old striker in the first half. We all know Maddison is possibly there best player but we got nowhere near him. Cannot keep changing the back four and midfield every week. Sad to say Cooper is very close to the sack, might get the Villa game, but if we lose that one then it's not looking good for him. Still in shock after tonight's performance as I really thought we may turn the corner a little bit.
That is a big thing for me the transition from defence is non-existent. We fuck about with it at the back and Hendo punts iit either back to them or most of the time out of play.
The fact he is making Cook captain worries me. I still think that going forward we will make chances and we have made 2 or 3 good ones again but the defence is terrible and the CDM’s all over the shop.
I was pleased to see Mangala back and would just try him and Fruler there and hopefully Niakate might help make things better
I would still stick with Cooper though and see where we are for the World Cup break
But awful times at the moment and as soon as we concede you know we will again and again in the following minutes
