www.footballinsider247.com/sources-nottingham-forest-line-up-100m-january-spending-spree/Not sure how true this is but wouldn't surprise me in the slightest I hope if we did spend another 100m then it'd be on quality and not quantity. We have the depth but perhaps we need players who can really elevate the side Would also hope this is only done on the basis that players leave too either permanently or on loan. We have 7/8 players who aren't getting minutes at the moment

We've already been linked to an £8m rated 20 year old Brazilian midfielder.
I've nothing against signing players as long as they are the right players and will improve the team. The scattergun approach in the Summer, signing anyone with two legs and a pair of football boots, was crazy. Up to 4 different people at the club signing players. The owner's son was like a rich kid in a toy shop spending daddy's money. The "quantity over quality" approach very rarely works.
I see that the local rag are once again on about us signing Spence on loan in January, stoking up the debate from those who post in the comment section on why didn't we sign Spence, Garner, and Zinks in the Summer. I read an article in the Guardian which stated that Cooper was offered all 3 of them by the Board, but turned them down. If Cooper didn't think they'd be good enough, then that's fine by me. Move on, and forget about them.

I see Biancone crocked his ACL and is out for the season. Maybe he'll turn out to be our most expensive signing in £/minute played.
If the rumours are true, on what positions should we spunk another £100m in January?
An attack-minded centre mid and a left winger? Would give us the option to play 4-2-3-1 with Lingard or MGW in behind. Or 4-3-3 with some flair in the midfield and actual wingers.
Then maybe a centre half? (though we have 7 including injuries). Maybe a left back in case Richards doesnt work out. What about strikers? Taiwo/Johnson/Dennis good enough?

If Richards and Niakhate are fit after the world cup that would solve a lot of problems defensively. If not then we should probably strengthen there (and move on Mbe Soh)
Priority should be signing a winger to give us a few more options in how we play.
A midfielder and striker would be useful as well. Its rumoured we've already agreed a deal with a Brazilian midfielder (Scarpa) and Ui-Jo is ending his Olympiakos loan early so will come 'back' to Forest

Nottingham Forest have reportedly made an Inquiry to Real Madrid about the loan signing of Eduardo Camavinga in January 😳
This deal would include a fee for the loan itself, as well as the wages of the 20 year-old to be paid in full by Forest 🇫🇷

On that note Scarpa may turn out to be a real gem.
Just won the league title with Palmieras and won best player in the league. Let's hope he gets a work permit.

He has a wand of a left foot and can finish. It's not Gona be one of them like Mike Bassett Wirral county manager is it where the player we are actually signing in all that footage is the goalkeeper?

The catch is south American players (directly from South america at least) are really hit and miss in the Premier league, and will at the minimum take a few months to settle in. I don't think we'll see much of Scarpa this season
Camavinga smells like bullshit

Scarpa official now. Is there any chance he'll just go to Olympiakos? I just find it hard to see Cooper fit him in alongside MGW and Lingard
It's unusual for PL clubs to sign straight from Brazil, will be interesting to see how it works out if he does stay here
I've not seen much transfer gossip. Michael Keane potentially joining us.
It sounds like Loic Bade will have his loan cut short, apparently we'd agreed with his parent club not to play him as early as October (as not to jeopardise another January transfer)

He'll be competing with O'Brien for a central midfield spot. I reckon its exactly what we're missing. Heard that about Badé, guess it became clear early on he was well down the pecking order. Seen us linked with Lascelles, would you want him back? We were heavily linked with Ramos over the summer. Shame that.

How many do you reckon will come in January?
I'll say we need 4 players.
As it seems like Niakhate and Richards will never be fit then we need to replace them properly. Lascelles seems like an obvious off the shelf option for the CB spot and would be cheap.
I wouldn't mind another full back. Aurier had done a good job but I'm not that convinced by Lodi/Williams/Toffolo at LB.
Our midfield looks a bit samey, a genuine box to box midfielder would do a lot to change that dynamic.
Would also like to see another option up top. Awonyini is just not going out for me
All easier said than done if course!
I don't know how much cash we have to splash. I imagine we're sailing close to the wind with FFP but we could look to move on Mbe Soh, Taylor, Cafu permanently and Cook, Colback, Surridge and Toffolo on loans (all would be good Championship players if we went down)

We might not get another season in the Premier League so at least let’s be true to the spirit of the league and splash the cash properly! 😀

Just watched a Scarpa video. Sweet left foot & a decent bag of tricks but getting knocked off the ball too easily for my liking.

Need to shift some first.
