Forest beat Valencia today 2-1 in Spain, sounds like the new Brazilian strutted some good stuff.

Watched both Olympiachos and Valencia games and we don’t look much more cohesive as a team than we did a month ago.
The defence look quite good and Dennis looked dangerous against Valencia.
Midfield looked terrible for both matches. We pressed poorly and gave away possession regularly.
But, on the plus side, Scarpa looks a real baller already. Dropped in and lifted the game with his energy, hunger for the ball, crisp passing & good distance shooting ability. That guy will score and assist. He can also do damage from set pieces.
Lingard was running for everything (mostly because his midfield colleagues were sub-par) and his last third passing was very impressive.
Taiwo was a real handful for the defenders but had to press and play deep. I’m not writing him off yet as he’s not been able to play as an out & out striker as he’s been making up for the black hole in midfield.
I’m a bit nervous that we’re still not quite gelling yet but Dennis & Taiwo could be a dangerous team with the right supply. Brennan is an impact sub at best.

Appreciate your analysis, how much can you read into it with it being friendlies and a lot of faces getting some minutes though? I don't know what the squads/ playing time for each individual was but I'm guessing it was quite a miss match of players in the line ups?? I'm going to Blackburn next week so hopefully I will see a more cohesive 11 and see where we are at after the winter break

I’d be interested to know your thoughts from Blackburn Rick.
I think it was a good representation for the last 2 games though. All those who played (except substitute Scarpa) have played in the Prem this season.
Edit: admittedly, Bade was a new face tried as a substitute too. Surprised to see him play in midfield & looked quite aimless.
