Not expecting anything here. The important game is against Southampton.

As we're so poor away from home we need to fight for everything at the City Ground
I may be wrong but it doesn't feel like Chelsea have been great under Potter, so I'll say we get a point

Other teams in the bottom half of the league are capable of getting a point or a win from the likes of Chelsea now and again but the attitude seems to be ' let's try and beat the teams round about us. Everton are holding City away from home at the moment yet we never seem to get near the likes of them, Newcastle, or Man Utd. At least let's have a go from the start tomorrow.

We need to change our attitudes instead of being hard to beat try going to win games Stupid errors most games costing us let one in 5 minutes later more go in ffs Let at least try and win games having a go every game a cup final

If you sit in against the top teams you will soon get undone, we are the home team today so let's at least try to give our fans something back for the great support.

We appear to be a different animal at home against big teams, we have done quite well with the likes of spurs twice and Liverpool making life difficult for them and giving it a genuine go so hoping for same again this afternoon. A point would be great, just to get that points total ticking over again, but like has been said it's Southampton that we need to be taking 3 points from.
Gona go for a 1-2 defeat, Johnson to score, sterling and havertz for them

Great start to the game and other than a few poor decisions looking good. All of a sudden ball bounces off Bolys ankle onto crossbar and tapped in by Sterling. 1-0 down.

Impressed with the start. Just the way the luck goes with that isn't it... 1-0 down with pure luck.

Had a few chances just before their goal but didn't take them and inevitably went behind to a slightly lucky goal
Unfortunately that's why I think we'll go down, we seem to be competitive in games but don't take our half chances whereas others do. We desperately need a striker

What a typical goal to concede today. Other than that we have competed. MGW is twice the player Lingard is. Really do feel we could press this Chelsea team into more mistakes. At times I don’t think we look too far away from being a decent side but then we just don’t make the right decision enough times around their goal.

Couple things I have learnt in the prem
1. You can lose the game in a blink of an eye. 2. Good teams in this league take half chances 8/10 of the time. In the championship it was more like 2/10.
The chance for Brennan in the first half would have been taken by a decent side.
Things to be positive about-
We are competing and getting in their faces and other than the goal I can't recall hendo having to make a save. In transition we have shown a couple of nice passes and ran at Chelsea dangerously but without an end product.

Great result. Really impressed with how Cooper is grinding out the results. We were more than a few points behind the rest, but to only be in the relegation zone on goal difference, with clubs like Bournemouth and West Ham in shite form, is fantastic. Great start to 2023.

Deserved at least a point, frustrating at times with slack passing but also pleased with some decent moves. Wish Brennan Johnson would stop the niggly pushing when the ball is up in the other teams corner, especially when all the defender can do is clear it. Big game v Southampton coming up.
