Just watching them against arsenal. Saka has just thumped arsenal ahead but Everton have looked very structured and organised and have frustrated arsenal so far and look quite athletic on the counter.

Second half arsenal tore them to shreds and could have been more. 4-0. Wolves also losing to Liverpool. A win on Sunday for us now would be even bigger.

Big game to put a bit of daylight between us and Everton. Got to be more of an attacking force this time. Cooper keeps saying in interviews he wants to see more of an attacking force but they sit so deep at times I can't see this happening until they change this.
Surridge to start over Wood this week?

It matters not which striker we play if he is forced to play out on the left to accommodate MGW in the False 9 Role. I'm sure any of our strikers would have easily scored more than MGW's 2 goals in 21 games if we had played them as a centre forward. MGW is a good player, but not in the False 9 role. The big problem is that he's Cooper's golden boy, and everything we do, free kicks, corners, etc, goes through him. It's time to mix it up a little. Change to a 4-2-3-1 with any three of Skarpa, Lingard, MGW, and Johnno playing behind a striker. We need goals, but we won't get them with a striker out wide and MGW playing through the middle spearheading our attack. |

Agree Dane. The challenge is the two holding midfielders.. I seem to remember we tried this early on in the season and got overrun. Maybe with Yates + Shelvey it could work. Not with Freuler + Mangala, that's for sure.
They'll play Iwobi down the left and target the right side of our defence. Williams & Worrall will have to be on their game. Looks like Calvert-Lewis is out at least.

Given whenever we had a home match on tv Dyche seemed to be at the City Ground I reckon he’s got us well scouted. I expect this to be a difficult game.

He has proven Premiership pedigree... it's just a matter of time and fitting him in. Surridge has had 16 opportunities to impress yet has the same goals tally. I dont get why most fans think he'll suddenly come good. He's a decent Championship striker, that is all. Awoniyi will slot back in soon anyway.

Whoever starts as striker today will hopefully get better service than of late as that is the problem.
IMO every position and player counts as we have a fight on our hands so to single out certain players who are they doing there best is pitiful.
