We just seem to be standing off them. For me Shelvey is too deep leaving colback and freuler chasing shadows

We have replaced young players with flair to old players with long balls up to Johnson. Midfield is dreadful. Shelvey, Colback and Freuler offer no threat and Woods is so slow he is more a hindrance than a help. Need some young fresh legs on the pitch, look shite and slow going forward at the moment.

Frantic first half. Entertaining at least. Their goals were poor ones to concede. We've had possession but not created much, too bitty in the midfield.
I dont get the point of playing colback and frueler in the centre. Crying out for a pairing which can control the game and pick a pass... Danilo and Scarpa didnt even make the bench!
We can still win this one. COYR

Why have we spent all that money and Colback is starting? He couldn’t get in our midfield last year. Frueler is uselsss as well
Just too many poor players i am afraid

Frueler is uselsss as well Just too many poor players i am afraid Don't mind colback playing but it's who with and what role he has. Really he probably should be in the position Shelvey is. The real problem is we don't have a box to box midfielder on the pitch or arguably in the squad. Like doucoure example for them or iwobi. There is no attacking threat at all with Shelvey, colback, freuler. Shelvey is obviously the deepl lying play maker but he is too deep as well, he needs to be on the half way line. We need a midfielder on the pitch to have the ball and run with it past a player etc. Massive second half this, need to change it up otherwise Everton could easily get 1 or 2 more.

Very much take that at half time. Very nice finish from Johnson for second. It was very important to not lose that.

Based on today it looks like we really need our injury list to lift. Some of those players were looking like they’re ready for the end of the season. Yates made a big difference after coming on. Awoniyi is a big miss up front. Too many average players with short term contracts in that first 11. Great to see Yates back.
Going to go down to the final day in my opinion.
Would love to know what O’Neill did wrong to not make the squad.

Cracking game to watch. Point a piece was fair. Everton have turned a corner under Dyche and I fancy them to dig themselves out of it.
Really dont understand Coopers selection policy right now. Colback and Frueler probably had more touches than any other players but just couldnt pick the right passes. They werent awful, but with sharper ball players we couldve bossed this game. Are the Brazilian pair injured or just out of favour?

Would love to know what O’Neill did wrong to not make the squad. I think given he's 71 years old, it would be a big ask

Same old story, started slowly and gave away a stupid penalty. Much more fight in the second half and deserved a point at least. Would also like to know what has happened with the Brazilian pair. Good to get Yates back.
