Gutting to lose so late on, but Newcastle could easily have had 5, we weren't at the races - and haven't been for the past month
Some serious work needed over the international break to turn this around

What has happened to our performances?, can't remember last time we played well. Not played well away all season and not played well at home for a while. We really are in the shit. Injuries have crippled us and we aren't going to field our best starting 11 all season.
After international break we have wolves, Leeds, villa. We will know our fate after those games I think at best we can expect 4 points

This might be controversial, but I have always found Johnson to be a bit lightweight.

I can’t remember Johnson touching the ball and MGW and Ayew were awful Thought ayew was fairly good with the limited balls that were given to him, did very well in air with flick ons too for his size on his own against that back 4. MGW seemed to keep stumbling over ball when running forward and his final pass was off. |

Just looked at our remaining fixtures. I estimate we will get 8 points out of the remaining 33 which gives u 34 points and will most certainly see us get relegated

We'll do well to get 6 points from that. At this stage i think we're hoping 36 points will be enough |

I like the lad, but he seems to need to be lucky rather than being able to make his own luck by carving out chances. It doesn’t seem to take too much to snuff him out. He needs a bit more physicality for that for me. |

If we're going to setup like that MGW and Ayew need to do better off the ball, get closer to the wingers and give them options.
Actually thought Yates and Shelvey did ok and the back 4 looked more solid with Moussa in. It was constantly losing possession when the ball was played forwards which cost us.
Also the subs did us no favours. Frueler anonymous again, Williams doesnt offer anything as a winger and Surridge has changed a total of zero games this season as an impact sub.
It is looking bleak... the next 3 games decide our season.

Every so called foul in the fist 15 mins their players had treatment and it made us look a dirty side. The ref fell for it and favoured them. Trippier biggest cheat. To say we were beat by a penalty gives me a bit of hope. Colback for Ayew from the start as we looked a bit light in midfield would have made a difference. I still hate the cheating Geordie b******s.

We look so disjointed. There is no connection between the midfield and the front players, and our defence is always going to concede. I don't like slagging off Cooper, but he just doesn't seem capable of getting us balanced, and competitive in games. I can see Wolves beating us in our next game, and the big man having his finger on the trigger. |

I would have put Colback instead of Ayew to bolster our midfield. Trippier is a cheat and the rest follow suit thieve had their big season and next they will be mediocre. Apart from the penalty it would have been another top six club that could not take us down.
