So...
Everton lost 3-0 to city and Brighton beat arsenal 3-0. Title all but over, city 5 points ahead ( including a point for goal difference) shame city don't play their game in hand before we meet arsenal or it may have been over for them. Arsenal simply have to beat us to keep their slim hopes alive.

Some data specialists have said 37 points - 0% chance of relegation 36 points - 2% 35 points - 10% 34 points - 43%
So we could just make it simple by beating Arsenal on Saturday
Leicester are just so poor defensively and low on confidence. I can't see them getting anything from Newcastle away either

Leicester look relegated. Such a poor performance despite it being Liverpool. That pretty much leaves 1 spot to go and agreed with Leeds and Everton’s run ins reckon we need one more point.

Right, it's getting bloody interesting now.
For us to be in the bottom 3 this weekend both Leeds and Everton would have to win and us to lose.
For what it's worth I think if that does end up being the scenario we could be in trouble and would be relying on others on that final day.
If we get 0 points from last 2 games I think we are down. If we get 1 point I think we need to be very lucky to stay up. Anymore 2 points+ I think we are safe.
Let's just beat arsenal on Saturday evening and have a good piss up!

Leicester wont get points agains the Geordies so thats them down. I can see Everton finishing with 36. It's Leeds that worry me... theyve looked a different side since Allardyce joined.

Next weekend's fixtures are:
Wolves v Everton Forest v Arsenal West Ham v Leeds (Sun) Newcastle v Leicester (Mon)
I still really worry about our chances. It's the damn goal difference. It's got all the hallmarks of that final day cock up with the play offs a few seasons ago. Everton and Leeds both have very winnable games which means even if we somehow beat Arsenal they could still both go above us on the final day...

We still need a point as I can see Leeds and Everton picking up more points in their final games. Realistically we need to better Leeds as I’m expecting Everton to beat Bournemouth so will go above us on goal difference. Leeds likely to beat Spurs at home and lose to West Ham. Have a feeling final game of the season is going to be nail biting!

Whatever happens, fair play to the manager and players for giving it a go. When we came up, I thought we would finish 20th and with less fight than the 1998/99 season. The fact we are going into the final two games with a chance of staying staying up is incredible.

A failure in owner meddling and erratic approach to signings. Cooper has also shown his inexperience (because he is at Premier League Level) but we already knew that when he grabbed the basket case at the bottom of the Championship and performed a miracle.

It's actually a minor miracle we're in this position with two to play
30 odd signings made by different cliques at the club, with no single football philosophy being used to recruit players.
By my count we've had 15 players with significant periods of absence at different times this year. Serious questions need to be asked about this - Who missed Richard's broken leg on his medical? Why have players like Niakhate and Kouyate missed so much of the season after we told there injuries were initially innocuous
There have been large parts of the season we've looked lost on the pitch, understandable with the lack of continuity in selection > only MGW and Johnson have started more than 25 games this season
If we somehow stay up, then lets hope we learn lessons, we could build a strong spine around Niakhate, Felipe, Aurier, Mangala, Danilo and Yates starting every week

Massive failure? Did you fully expect us to 100% stay up after that day last May when we got promoted having only about 8 reasonable players in the squad? It will be disappointing for sure, especially from the positions we have been in but a failure, no chance.

Yes I expected us to spend big and build a team based on the philosophy that Cooper cooked up in The Championship. Instead we spent big like a drunk Michael Jackson walking round Harrods and then continued to make bizarre purchases like Wood and Voldemort. i'm not saying it's easy but the owners got giddy and then expected an inexperienced manager to form a team out of the rabble bot to mention the failures from the fitness coaches.

Everton dictating this game. Look good for the win so far if they get it
