Yep, flash in a pan the other night. Crap defending and tactics from Cooper yet again. Have had it with him. Sack him off. Who on earth are you? You must be a snake. Flash in the pan? Did you watch today's game? Crap defending? They haven't had a sniff all game. A free kick which went through a 13 inch gap in the wall then when down to 10 men for last 7 mins after another injury which looks like could put a player out for the season, a shot through a crowd of players with a player which no matter how you draw the lines looks to be in an offside position to me right in front of Navas' eye sight. Deserved at least a point.

We should be nowhere this position other than fucking stupid decisions by the players. Fuck all to do with Cooper. Bastard fuming

Put a tenner on brentford to win at 1-1 at 8/1 which softens the blow a bit but that game was in our hands at a canter up until kouyate decided to break from the wall for the free kick which was about 3ft off the ground and would have hit his shins if he stayed compact.
The 2nd is the rule now that you draw the line from the furthest legal goalscoring body part? Do we not count arms as offside anymore like when mightens goal against Chelsea a couple of years back was offside because of his finger or something...?
Again we have been crippled by having an injured player in the closing stages with no subs left and a massive amount of added time added on. And it just so goes that the injured player whol looks like he has torn his hamstring and if that's the case will most likely be season over has been our brightest spark over the last couple of games and has scored 2 in 2.
The table with us at 33 points looked cushty. Now we have to beat Southampton on Monday 8th. And probably get another win in the remaining games.

FFS threw it away again
Navas makes far too many mistakes, if we did happen to stay up, we should look at other options
On the face of it, Awonyini and Johnson going off for Ayew and Kouyate, seems odd
Southampton at home is obviously absolutely crucial

Big difference between being pissed off because of a result that transpired in the way it did and saying ' flash in the pan, cooper out'

Just seen the highlights. Inexcusable Kouyate for first one. Keep hearing about character and fighting for the 3 points and then he does that with 8mins to go. Lodi should have been closer to his man for second goal. Too easy.
Any Cooper out people do need to realise whether you like our tactics or not, they do work if the players do their jobs. Fingers crossed Yates is able to get back into first 11 and Kouyate can get back to warming the bench.
3 points today would have been a game changer.

Gutted. Feels like we went from 'almost safe' to 'probably going down' in the last ten minutes. I suppose it's not actually that dramatic but I think this was the most winable game of the run-in, apart from Southampton which obviously we have to win now.
We're not going to catch Bournemouth now so have to hope they beat Leeds tomorrow. After that one Leeds and Everton both have horrible runs until the final day so at least that's something....

What on earth comes from backing off from one solitary player, who all he to do, was shoot? Shocking defending.

Having watched again it was two soft goals we conceded! Could Navas have done better? Very possibly. Don't know why 5 subs were used as at 1-0 up and 1-1 we didn't look like losing the game and of course due to this we ended the game with 10 players. Giving our record of players going off injured I would have kept at least one player back. Must win against Southampton, hope to get at least a point v Chelsea or Arsenal which could mean beating Palace in the final game though of course there are many ways this could play out.

Even more of a bitter pill to swallow after the results today. Could be very close to safety if they hadn’t been sloppy

Having watched again it was two soft goals we conceded! Could Navas have done better? Very possibly. I though he should have done better with the second one. I know it came through a crowd of players and he didn't have great view but you can't be letting that in. Poor. I'm blaming the wall entirely on the first one. If you're just going to get out the way when the ball comes at you, why bother going in the wall? We'd have been better off with no wall at all than that feeble construction. Embarrassingly poor.

I'll say it until I am blue in the face, if you set up to defend for 90 mins at this level, you are going to concede. You put your own defence under that type of pressure cracks will appear. I don't blame Navas for their second goal. if you stand off a player in the area and allow him to pick his spot, youd expect a goal. I know so many people who made a tidy profit from betting on Brentford to win at 0-1 and 1-1, it almost seemed inevitable. That's now 19pts we have thrown away from winning positions this season. You can blame the players all you like, but compare that performance against Brentford, to the high pressing game against Brighton, and you can only look at Cooper's tactics for this defeat. I swear to god, he shits himself if we go one goal up away from home. But, if you are happy watching your team defend so deep that when you win the ball there is no outlet and all you can do is hoof it up the pitch straight to the opposition for them to attack again, then that's fine, but you very rarely win a game playing like that.

Thinks it's even more points dropped from winning positions mate. And I'm one that stuck a tenner on at 8/1 at 1-1. Think just before they scored their first they were around 14/1. I felt really calm watching that match in Saturday. Although we didn't create much and didn't necessarily play that well I didn't think we would concede. But it all started to unravel. Heart wrenching 33 points would have looked very good on the table.

What really pissed me was leading 1-0 against Wolves, and our manager replaced our striker with a centre back. We ended up at 1-1. Those 2 points would have needed us to beat Southampton to be just about safe from relegation.

Careful, you'll be upsetting the Cooper fans. I concur, you have it accurately. The best form of defence is to attack. The Brighton win was a flash in the pan result (freak result).
