Was it ever in doubt?
I've criticised him at times this season, but for Cooper to keep us up, given all the injuries and the ridiculous turnover of players is a phenomenonal achievement.
Player of the season - Gibbs-White Signing of the season - Felipe Rising star- Danilo Flop of the season - too many to mention, but I'm sure we'll see a few comings and goings this summer

That was special tonight. Loved the banner at the start. Thought the fans were immense.
I think said at the start I would take 4th from bottom and more points than Derby this season so I’m good with this
I suspect a lot of players will go out the door and it won’t be a surprise that some of those are dyed in the wool Forest.
But for tonight, everyone celebrates.

I would have just taken getting more points than the Shaggers at the start of the season. Cooper is an incredible manager, yes he has shown himself to be inexperienced at this level at times, but he has learnt and got on with the job. From the bottom of the Championship to two seasons in the Premier League is unbelievable and a refreshing change from the decades of shit we had to endure before. Fair play to Maranakis for sticking by him, few Premier League owners would have done the same. The fans have been immense throughout.

Amazing achievement. Better than the play off final. Had the piss taken about all the players we bought this season but come the end of the season when it really mattered, first 11 and the subs played Coopers game plan spot on. No silly challenges in the box to draw a penalty. Played like a true team.
Big shout to Mangala and Navas who were solid. Looking ahead Awoniyi, MGW, Danilo and Johnson will hopefully stick for at least another season and we can now build around what we have, not what we havnt.

Our last 5 games playing how we should play with a striker down the middle and fight to go win the games is how we now need to start the new season let's face it we have been shit but come good in the end hopefully players like ayew wood shelvey get shown the door 4 or 5 quality players to add then push on and look at the loans

Will prob get discussed on another thread but, when you think about the players who potentially be shown the door or loans finished, there’s plenty of signings still to be made. Think Marianakis is intending to spend another £100m or so if tabloids are correct.
Shelvey Ayew Colback Cook Navas Lingard Wood Cafu Dennis Mighten Toffolo Henderson

Our upturn in points is mainly because of the goals from Awoniyi, special mention for Yates who's been back for this mini unbeaten run, We're a better team when he's starting.

Not sure there are many players worth picking up off Leeds, Saints and Leicester if that is the final 3 assuming we had free pick following their relegation.

Yes, we've become one of those boring teams who's active interest ends before the season is over, very disappointing!

Shelvey Ayew Colback Cook Navas Lingard Wood Cafu Dennis Mighten Toffolo Henderson I'd keep Dennis - i'd rather be bringing him on than Ayew or Surridge in this league. He didn't made the best of starts here but he looked decent before injuries. I agree with the rest. I don't have any regrets about Lingard. It would have been great if it worked out for him but the system didn't suit him. He was a signal of intent which paved the way for other signings I think. He also was there most games. An enthusiastic, if a little expensive cheerleader. I'd wait on Toffolo until we see who we sign, and if Richards can make the step up after injury.

Agree mate, wouldn't really change anything and I know that's easy to say now that we have managed to stay up. Other than signing houssem aouar. He would have been an exciting player I believe but I believe we got fucked around with the asking price etc. At the time I thought Shelvey may be an alright piece of business and add a good base in midfield that got us ticking over but it didn't prove to be. Wood- smells like such a panic buy due to awoniyis injury. Paid way too much for him and I think that's pretty much money down the drain but if/when he does play I will support him. We've unearthed / signed a couple of hidden gems though in the likes of Danilo, Felipe, Lodi ( who I wouldn't mind making permanent) and MGW has done what I thought he would do and just be a class attacking midfielder. Some of the boys from last year have stepped up, Yates, johnno and especially worrall over recent weeks so that is really good to see.

Surely, securing a keeper will have priority. Where are we with Hendo? Will he be available from Man U.? Horvath will probably return from Luton to become our GK sub? Move Hennessy on?

I think we have a massive 45 players contracted to us at the moment, including those out on loan
Considering we can only pick a squad of 25, that would be ridiculous. There is no way FFP can support that waste. I know it sounds ambitious but this summer we should be looking at moving out 25 and getting 5 in. It is the classic quality v quantity trade off.
Out - Horvath, Smith, Drager, Layrea, Toffolo, Cook, Biancone, MbeSoh, Panzo, Fornah, Colback, Ojeda, Cafu, Arter, LOB, Shelvey, Freuler, Lingard, Mighten, Scarpa, Bowler, Ayew, Surridge, L.Taylor, Ui-Jo
In. GK (Henderson?), LB (Lodi), #6, Forward, Striker
