So anyone booked for Spain this summer?
We made the decision a couple of months ago to put our holiday to Portugal back to next year. It just seemed there was too much uncertainty about the whole thing. Will flights take off or be cancelled? Will FCO advice render travel insurance invalid? Turned out it would have done in our case. Would quarantining be an issue? Most importantly of all - did the person who went into the airplane loo before me wash their hands? I bet they didn't!
Some of the tv coverage of the situation does make me laugh. "A bitter blow when holidays are so desperately needed by so many". For fuck's sake, the World doesn't come to an end if you don't have a holiday one year! Stick it out just a few months longer and I'm sure the good times will return in time.

The government's role is to protect public health. The amount of whinging going on because people were stupid enough to go abroad in the midst of a global pandemic is unbelievable. We had three foreign holidays booked this year and cancelled them all when this shit kicked off. It's unfortunate that they are inconvenienced, but the government hasn't cancelled their holidays and doing this might stop a second wave that will save the lives of vulnerable elderly people.

I went to see my Dad the other day for his 70th, he lives near Tenby. It was a complete shit show there to be honest. I've fucked off the idea of going anywhere else for a while, seems to me as soon as people go away they behave like nothing has happened.
Loads of my wife's students are Chinese, when they went home in May they had to stay in quarantine for two weeks in hotel rooms that they had to pay for, they had a sliding scale of payments for food depending on what they could afford. They weren't allowed out of their rooms at any time. I reckon a dose of that would do for the twats who are happy to send us back where we were for the last three months.

All these cunts on the south coast fuck me off. I wonder how many of them are on furlough and are enjoying keeping the pandemic going at the taxpayers expense.

I wouldn't have set foot on those overcrowded South coast beaches even before Covid-19!
