I know he fluked a world cup semi final and wears a waistcoat but after 4 years in charge, he has never convinced me.
We're blessed with some amazing attacking talent but they're not being well utilised. Most of the time England are set out as a Big Sam set piece team.
The team largely looks like it's picked out of a hat. I mean, Phillips and Rice in midfield and Trippier at left back...
He has no idea about the best formation or best group of players after 4 years. He's picked around 70 players in 40 games. If you want to experiment or have a look at a player, do it on the training pitch.
Its time to stop tinkering and get the first 11 playing with each other every time to build an understanding.
It feels like he's constantly looking for the next generation but he needs to think about getting proven players to gel for Euro 2021

Irrespective of the manager, the England team is never going to match the hype that surrounds it. There is no passion to play for the nation or pride, that has been on the wane since the Premier League appeared. International football is now just a millionaires holiday.

Even Allardyce would have been embarrassed to put out a team with three central defenders and then two defensive midfielders in front. Grim. Maybe he's working on a new 7-0-3 formation for the Euros....
