Just been appointed.
He was probably my third choice after Howe and Cook, but hey ho, the bloke has two Championship promotions under his belt, and has to be a welcomed appointment after what we've suffered under Lamouchi since January.
Let's hope this kick starts our season.

COYR.
2 promotions including over 100 points with Newcastle ( okay they did have an unbelievable team for championship that season) proven British manager and not one to be fucked about with.
Come on Chris, get them going

Excellent appointment I think. Vast experience, very good manger by all accounts.
What worry’s the most is the Greeks input via Zoom or whatever. From what I’ve just read it’s worrying. I hope he gives CH a fair crack and keeps out affairs for the rest of the season

From available managers and a record at our level, he's the best option. Naturally half of us will want him out by Christmas but that's Forest for ya. Hopefully he'll have enough time to sort us out and get us up.

If he's been paying attention he will have.

End of the day he will be another level to what we had with Sabri. Be interesting to see what players he sticks with. Particularly Samba

Fun fact, it was Chris Hughton who signed James Perch from us.
Hughton lost in the play offs to Blackpool (deja vu).
On the plus side, in the Championship with different teams had 93 points (Brighton), 76 points (Birmingham), and 102 points (Newcastle). I'd take 76 points right now no probs.

Are we going to see the British players flourish??
Too early for a Chris hughton first XI?
Samba,
Christie, mbe soh ( worrall when fit), McKenna, ioannou
( Lolley when fit) Arter, freeman, ameobi/ mighten
Taylor, grabban
But more importantly even if he played 1 up top it will be a change of system to Lamouchi which allows players to get beyond the striker and into the box.
Looking forward to seeing what style of play he brings

Cant deny its a top quality championship appointment. His record at this level is great in both PPG and win %
I also feel he'll bring a bit of professionalism to the club.
Maybe not my first choice because of his style of play with Brighton but will give him the benefit of the doubt, they were more fluid in the championship.

Although I’m happy with his appointment it’s bizarre that the club purchase 13 players, apparently Lamouchis players, and give him no time to get them up to speed. Not much makes sense with this club anymore but let’s see what happens next. Can we put bets on whether Cafu ever gets a game from now?

The ones that don't suck balls before you've seen them play might have something to do with the manager. The rest...
Hughton will be able to work with the ones that don't suck balls, the rest...
i'm presuming they're just signed to perform some kind of scam.

Why would you sign 13 players and the day after the window closes sack the manager - this club is being run exactly the same as when Fawaz was in charge
I am just meh about Hughton - lots of people see him as a boring defensive manager which is exactly like the 3 managers we had before him
He will be gone by the same time next year because he has been forced to take a load of players he probably didn’t want
Just so fucking fed up with the stupid way things are done at the club

Maybe I'm reading too much into it but on the official website it says that 'Head Coach' Sabri Lamouchi has gone and Hughton has been appointed as 'Manager'... Not sure what the difference is but it's clearly a different job title.

Not sure what the difference is but it's clearly a different job title. Manager supposedly has more control over staff, contracts, transfers etc. Head coach just takes care of training and picks team. Maybe head coach says the kind of players they want for transfers but managers actually scout their own and identify actual individuals.. Either way Chris hughton should have enough experience to fulfill his managerial role

Great support, great pubs, and always a nice bunch of fans who luved banter. Chris is your man, hard work, no prisoners, good connections, solid back four, but boring football. Good luck

I wonder what this means now for Bong. Hughton had him at Brighton and he played in their promotion winning side and in the Premier League.
Yes he looked gash in the one game he played for us but a new manager that he knows well could invigorate him.
