Thought we played ok, made quite a difference having Guerrero dropping into the no.10 position rather than everyone charging forward together and losing possession every time. Let's see if we can't start to do it against better opponents.
Glad I watched this as it was much improved. We still squandered chances but much better threat. Well done to Taylor who did very well up front today. Guerrero looks a neat player at times also. sloppy at times but the number of Clear cut chances created today were more than what we have achieved in the last 7.
Didn't actually see the game but it sounds like we were much improved. To be honest Wycombe at home is exactly the sort of fixture you want when you're trying to get a bit of form going.
So actually now on paper Hughton's start looks pretty decent...3 wins and 3 draws from 7 games. Only narrow loss was away at Boro who are doing well.
It's not been champagne stuff but it's an improvement
It wasn't champagne football but for the first time this season we deserved the points we got. We should really have had 2 more through an arter half volley that he hit sweet as a nut but straight at the keeper and knockaert should have scored 1 on 1 and if not arter on the rebound.
The best they had in the second half was a couple of tame akinfenwa headers which forced samba into saves but quite easy ones. Mccleary looked quite lively coming off the bench too I imagine he would of had a half decent reception with crowd in.
Figueirido always has dodgy moments in him. I feel the centre backs could be more comfortable in bringing it out from the back than they are. They seem to have yards of space in front of them but they are reluctant to take it up into the space, would be nice to see them driving a bit more especially with 2 DCM around them. Samba was always aware and came for numerous crosses taking out all the players in the way which was good to see, Christie put in lots of effort getting up and down but lacked end product, McKenna was his solid self, ribeiro played quite well getting up and down, colback ran forward a bit more but always passed backwards or to the side, sow disrupted like usual but always had a foul in him, knockaert was his usual busy self, puts in lots of effort sometimes running right across the pitch, can't help but feel he is trying to do too much taking on the roles of a couple of Ayers trying to force something to happen and sometimes being caught out, Taylor was fantastic at times, took his goals well and the last 10 minutes had some brilliant touches and hold up play, Guerrero I thought was poor in the first half was better in 2nd but in spells.
